Recommended Packing Lists
What you need to pack will depend on your chosen itinerary. Double check airlines baggage weight allowance which is normally 20kg, but can be down to 15kg. Whatever you take, be mindful that you will need to be able to carry/handle your own luggage at airports, accommodation and short distances. You will need a day pack to carry personal daily essentials such as water, snacks, hat, rain jacket etc.
Below are our recommended packing lists:
General
Passport
Copies of important travel documents separate from the originals - flights, passport, insurance, visa, medical information, vaccination certificate, prescriptions (while not valid, a copy makes it easier to obtain replacements if necessary)
Bank cards/Cash (recommended daily budget / cash)
Money belt
Personal medication, basic first aid kit (Band-Aids, Imodium, Panadol, re-hydration sachets)
Camera, spare batteries, memory cards
Electrical adapter plug
Small padlocks
Water bottle (with a recommended 1.5L capacity, help us reduce plastic waste!)
Good, comfortable walking shoes or boots
Layers of warm clothing & light cotton clothing
Sun hat, sun glasses & sun protection (high SPF)
Windbreaker / rain jacket
Waterproofs (including dry bags for your camera, passport,..)
Gloves, scarf, woolen hat, thermals
Socks & underwear
Watch/alarm clock (or phone to be used for both)
Hand sanitizer / wet wipes
Toiletries (include lip balm)
Insect repellent
Optional:
Ear plugs
Eye mask
A personal music player / books etc for the long drives
Spanish phrase book
Swimwear (for hot springs)
Quick dry towel
If you have any dietary requirements then we recommend bringing some suitable snacks from home. We will accommodate you for breakfast, lunch and dinner however for snacks it’s recommended to bring some just to be safe.

Provided: duffel bag which can hold up to 5 kg of personnel gear in addition to the tent, sleeping bag and mattress which we also provide
If you bring your own sleeping bag instead of renting one, a four season (or -10) bag is recommended especially for the winter months
Worn in hiking boots - Recommended to be waterproof and have ankle support
Wool socks
Walking clothes - layers that are easy to put on or remove are important
Water bottle or hydration bladder in your day bag
Plastic bags or dry bags - recommended to put everything in a dry bag
Snacks
Flashlight or headlamp
Wet wipes (as no showers will be available)
Toilet paper
A sleeping bag liner (if you would feel more comfortable using one in a rental sleeping bag)
Optional: trekking poles (we recommend to hire)
Optional: pillow (we recommend a small travel pillow)
